Plate-making Process







Back exposure: Expose the plate through the back to establish the floor. Vary the back exposure time according to relief required. A proper relief helps the formation of fine graphics.

Plate Making: Remove the protective coversheet, and image the plate with the Main Exposure: Remove the protective coversheet and expose the front of the plate to form image.

Main Exposure: Remove the protective coversheet and expose the front of the plate to form image.
Washout: Use any safe-solvent solutions or other environmentally safe solution to remove the unexposed photopolymer.
Drying: After washing, dry the plate in a vented hot oven (60°C) to remove the residual solvent. It is recommended that the plate be allowed to set aside at room temperature for 2 hours until the plate returns to original thickness.
Post Exposure: Post expose the plates under the UVA lamps to fully cure the plate
to strength.
Detack: Finish the plate under UVC light to eliminate surface tackiness.
